YOUR Da'wah Centre is working in downtown Ottawa, inviting the general public to understand Islam. It is a resource centre to government agencies, the media, academic institutions and religious groups. We sponsor public lectures at universities, high schools, churches... We have been effective in counseling and assisting inmates at detention centres, where, by the grace of Allah, many reverted to Islam; and we support, advise and teach the new Muslims. We supply public libraries with Islamic books; and offer books and da'wah material to non-muslims. Our easy accessibility, every day of the week, makes us the first stop for one seeking help and advice on every concern: family counselling; and giving assistance to the needy.

The Centre runs a book store on the premises and has a large selection of Islamic Books in English. Any title not in stock can easily be ordered. We carry many gift items and artifacts, hijabs and men's clothing. Also available are audio and video cassettes (for sale and for rent); and a large collection of da'wah brochures. The now established Mosque at the Centre is kept busy for all daily prayers and it is already at over capacity for Jum'a, the only Mosque in downtown Ottawa. All proceeds go for da'wah activities.

Islam Care Centre a sister organization will focus on social services to provide support for women and children with family problems, and to provide a half-way home for the many unfortunate cases in Ottawa.
